Is marijuana legal in New Hampshire?

Penalties for selling and cultivation are measured according to the quantity of marijuana. A criminal conviction will result in 20 years in jail and fines of up to $300,000 for the sale or production of 5 pounds more. For medicinal patients, home production remains unlawful. A bill (SB 420) passed in 2020, though, would have enabled patients and caregivers to harvest their own cannabis. The bill is declining.
Many other proposals in New Hampshire also proposed to regulate medical marijuana. Until recently, the House passed HB 1648. It will authorize people over the age of 21 may obtain up to 3⁄4 oz of cannabis, grow up to six plants, and give other adults amounts of cannabis, given that the quantities are under the limitations of control. In the Senate, the legislation requires a vote. A 2019 survey showed that 68 percent of people of New Hampshire favor the legalization of limited quantities of recreational pot.
